Emergency First Aid For Schools

The Emergency First Aid For Schools course has been designed specifically for primary schools. It will supplement your First Aid at work or emergency first aid at work training and covers the main topics of a workplace course with added paediatric content specifically for school staff. 

 

 

What's covered? 

 

• Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

• Preventing cross infection, Recording Incidents and use of available equipment

• Treating an unconscious casualty including seizures

• Adult & Junior CPR

• Introduction to AED and Demo

• Practical AED session 

• Choking

• Wounds & bleeding 

• Shock

• Minor injuries

• Head injuries 

• Asthma 

• Anaphylaxis 

• Fractures 

 

Duration: 

 

This qualification is normally delivered over one 6-hour session but could be split into smaller sessions. For example, two 3-hour sessions. 

 

Qualification Validity:

3 years.
