KeepaBeat Terms and Conditions 2023

        

KeepaBeat’s Terms and Conditions aim to present a fair sustainable structure to all. 

We are committed to the safety of all persons who attend our classes and to deliver the highest standard of service.

 

Participating in a KeepaBeat class is entirely at your own risk without any proven negligence, breach of duty of care or lack of due diligence by KeepaBeat Global Ltd., your local Franchise or its employees. 

 

Payment Methods:

For open courses payment is generally made through our online booking system. However, your local KeepaBeat franchise may offer a variety of ways for you to make a payment. This may include cash, cheque, invoice, bank transfer or Paypal. 

For inhouse/private bookings you will be invoiced at the time of the booking. 

 

Confirmation of booking:

If payment is made through any other way than card payment using the online booking system, your place will only be confirmed on full payment. A booking acknowledgment will be sent with payment details however, booking confirmation will only be sent when payment is received. If you pay using the online booking system, you will receive an automated reply confirming your place.

 

 

General Terms and Conditions 

 

Refunds, transfers and cancellations – (Open Courses/Sessions)

Transfers:

Should circumstances mean that the booked attendee needs to transfer to another KeepaBeat course/session, the following charges will apply, dependent on notice given:

•        More than four weeks prior to the course start date – no charge

•        Two to four weeks’ notice given – an extra 25% of the course fee will be added and charged

•        One to two weeks’ notice given – an extra 50% of the course fee will be added and charged

•        Less than one week’s notice – an extra 75% of the course fee will be added and charged

In the event the booked attendee cannot attend, the space may be offered to a colleague friend or family member as a gift, provided you inform us in advance (subject to course and venue requirements).

All transfers must be taken within a period of six months from the original booking.

 

Cancellations:

Should circumstances mean that the booked attendee or inhouse session booking has to be cancelled, the following charges will apply:

• More than four weeks prior to the course start date - no charge.  100% of the course fee will be refunded

• Two to four weeks prior to the course start date – 50% of the course fee will be charged. 50% will be refunded

• One to two weeks prior to the course start date – 75% of the course fee will be charged. 25% will be refunded.

Less than one week’s notice 100% of the course fee will be charged. No refund will be offered.

 

Non attendance:

If the attendee/s cannot attend a course, and you have not previously informed as outlined above the full course fee remains payable.

Lateness:

Short sessions

If the attendee/s arrive late for a course or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept the attendee/s for training if we feel the attendee/s will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining.

 

Day courses – attendee/s will not be entitled to complete the course if they are over 30 minutes late to any session.

 

Online Live courses – should an attendee arrive more than 5 minutes late they will not be entitled to complete the session.

                                                                                          

You must comply with our policies and procedures. You must comply with, and ensure that you comply with, any policies and procedures which we communicate to you from time to time in relation to the Services. This may include (but shall not be limited to) policies in relation to health and safety. 

 

 

                                                                         

Supervision and withdrawal of service

Should a delegate or associated visitor behave in a way that the Course Trainer feels is unreasonable then the company reserves the rights to withdraw the delegate/attendee/visitor from the session or course. In these circumstances the delegate/client will not be entitled to a refund what so ever.

First Aid for Parents Sessions - This is a course designed for teaching adults and contains important content. As far as is possible, we ask attendees to arrange for child care. Regrettably we cannot allow mobile children in the sessions unless there is the consent of the whole group and this is prearranged.

 Junior Medics Sessions - this is a course designed for teaching children from ages 6 – 11 years first aid skills. We would advise all carers to talk to their child about emergencies and what first aid can mean before they arrive at the session. Regrettably we cannot allow mobile children/siblings to attend unless they are booked into the session and are within the age ranges as specified above.

Parents are required to stay and take part in the family sessions.

Dinky/Junior Medics Sessions in childcare settings - these courses are designed for teaching children from ages 2 – 11 years first aid skills.

Dinky Medic Sessions - This course is designed for 2-5 year olds. Regrettably we cannot allow mobile children/siblings to attend unless they are booked into the session and are within the age ranges as specified above.

(open sessions) Parents are required to stay and take part in these sessions (unless stated otherwise).

Should a child or associated visitor behave in a way that the Course Trainer feels is unreasonable then the company reserves the rights to withdraw the child/attendee/visitor from the session or course. In these circumstances the client will not be entitled to a refund what so ever.

 

Regulated Courses – These courses are designed for teaching adults and contain important content. Courses are registered through an awarding body. Certificates are sent within 4 weeks of the course end date. Regrettably no children are permitted to attend regulated courses.

All other adult short courses/sessions - These courses are designed for teaching adults and contain important content. If applicable certificates are sent within 4 weeks of the course end date. Regrettably no children are permitted to attend these courses.

Cancellation of Classes policy

KeepaBeat will endeavour to run all planned sessions and courses. However, at times KeepaBeat may have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances for example during bad weather e.g. snowy conditions, illness or forced closures by the government. Therefore, should we need to cancel delegates will be notified/contacted and an additional session or course will be arranged.  

Private live online session bookings (using live streaming platforms) – All live online courses need a minimum of at least 2 learners unless confirmed at the time of booking. Should minimum numbers not be met KeepaBeat have the right to withdraw from the session. No refund will be offered.

Commitment to Equal Opportunities:

KeepaBeat has a commitment to ensure that the equipment and activities are value and worth to everyone regardless of race, culture, language, gender, age, experience, religion, background, ability or disability. 

It is important that Keepabeat are informed of any learning difficulties or language barriers delegates may have, so that we can make where reasonably practicable provision for these delegates. 

Data Protection:

KeepaBeat will record, process and keep all personal information secure in accordance with the General  Data Protection Regulations 2018. Information will not be passed onto a third party unless you have opted in during the booking process.

Protection of property:

Please note that KeepaBeat cannot take any responsibility for the safeguarding of any personal items brought to a KeepaBeat session by a delegate/attendee or visitor.   

Health & Safety and Hygiene Policies:

KeepaBeat follows rigorous internal checks of the venue and its own equipment to ensure that they are clean and safe. Daily Risk Assessments are conducted. 

KeepaBeat is in process of gaining Gold Accreditation of the Children’s Activities Association and meets their standards in all operational aspects.

 

Some physical activity is required and can be strenuous. It is therefore for the responsibility of the delegates to inform the trainer of any medical condition that they have which may be affected by exercise. It would also be helpful to inform us at the time of booking so that we can cater for your needs. 

We recommend all delegates wear suitable, comfortable clothing (skirts or dresses should be ankle length to avoid any embarrassment when practicing.

Inhouse bookings:

Please make sure that you have a suitable training area that complies with current health and safety legislation. The training area should be large enough for all delegates to sit comfortably with sufficient space for all practical sessions.

 

Changes to Terms and Conditions:

KeepaBeat from time to time updates these T&Cs. It will inform you of changes through regular channels of communication and you have 14 days to opt out of accepting changes in writing. Failure to do so will entitle KeepaBeat to treat this agreement with you as being updated with the changes.

General: In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the Company wide Terms and Conditions found in the Terms and Conditions tab, the provisions in these Terms and Conditions will prevail
