This Level 3 - two day course goes into detail on a range of mental health conditions and the support available by health care professionals. It covers the content of the Level 1 & 2 course but is aimed more at Trainer/Assessors and/or supervisor level within the workplace.
This two day course will cover:
• Understanding what mental health is, why people develop mental health conditions and the
role of a First Aider for mental health
• Understanding how to provide advice and practical support for a person presenting with a mental health condition
• Knowing how to recognise and manage stress
• Knowing how to recognise a range of mental health conditions
• Understand the impact of substance abuse on mental health
• Understand the first aid action plan for mental health and be able to put it in place
• Know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace
• Understand a range of mental health disorders and the support/therapy provided by professional healthcare providers
