This courses is the Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate. This is a one day course and is for those that do not need the full Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded the Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate.
This is a fully regulated course.
What is covered:
Learners will cover a range of topics including:
- The roles and responsibilities of an emergency paediatric first aider
- Assessing an emergency situation
- Child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Child and infant defibrillation
- Recovery positions
- Seizures
- Child and infant choking procedures
- Minor injuries
- Bites and stings
- Treatment for bleeding and shock.
Every learner is entitled to a free face to face 2 hour update every year for the duration of their certificate.
